2017 Perpetua

2017 Perpetua

Perpetua means long-lasting...continuous, which represents to our family the concept of generations - our roots and our future.  Harvested from four individual blocks in our eastern Osoyoos (80%) and Naramata Ranch (20%) vineyard estate. Historic French Burgundian Dijon clones were used lending a unique flavour and aromatic profile.

Tasting Notes
Bright fruit and incredibly fresh acidity highlight the 2017 vintage of Perpetua. Notes of pear, lime and a hint of oak all compliment a textured and concentrated palate. A long finish with tremendous intensity.

The 2017 harvest, lasting 66 days, was one of extremes. The harvest started later than anticipated, with a cool, wet spring. However, a record-breaking dry spell followed in July and August, with temperatures well above seasonal norms. This warm, dry summer resulted in a crop of small, concentrated berries that should produce wines of exceptional depth and intensity. The harvest concluded on October 30, yielding a crop reminiscent of the incredible 2009 vintage.
